RESIDENTIAL EFFICIENCY SCORECARD
A Residential Efficiency Scorecard Assessment rates the energy efficiency and hot and cold weather performance of existing homes to provide tailored advice on home upgrade improvement options.
What is the process for getting a Residential Efficiency Scorecard Assessment?

- After arranging a suitable time with you, we as accredited assessors will visit your home to collect all of the relevant data to perform the assessment. We look at fixed appliances as well as the building materials and construction methods. Things we examine include:
- wall, floor and roof construction
- window type, size, orientation & covering
- room sizes
- insulation
- air leakage
- heating and cooling systems
- hot water heater
- pool pump &/or pool heating (if any)
- solar panels (if any)
- The benefit of Scorecard being an online tool is that once we’ve entered all the data we can then calculate your home’s star rating and Scorecard certificate whilst we are onsite.
- We will sit down with you and go through the certificate which includes:
- your home’s star rating out of 10
- how all the elements of your home, such as the building itself and major appliances, perform against the best available in the market
- the performance of your home in hot and cold weather
- the contribution from your solar system, or the potential contribution if you don’t have one
- your home’s carbon emissions

- Based on the results we’ll discuss with you practical options to suit you and your budget which will improve the performance of your home in terms of thermal comfort, energy efficiency and carbon emissions.
- Once we are back in the office we will complete quality checks and finalise the certificate which will be emailed through to you with a written report.
